About Sicily Insiders — Licensed Guides from Agrigento

A team of Sicily insiders born and raised in Agrigento, blending decades of guiding experience
with a new generation of academically trained guides.

Who We Are

Sicily Insiders is a team of licensed tour guides born and raised in Agrigento. For several decades we have been
leading travelers through the Valley of the Temples, the Archaeological Museum, the coast of Realmonte, and the
literary landscapes of Pirandello and Camilleri. Alongside our senior guides with 25–30 years of experience,
we proudly include a new generation of young professionals trained in archaeology, history, and cultural studies.

What unites us is simple: a deep connection to Agrigento, a passion for Sicilian culture, and the desire to share
the island’s stories with accuracy, warmth, and authenticity. Our tours are designed to be more than visits —
they are cultural experiences shaped by local knowledge, field research, and decades of guiding.

Our Story

Sicily Insiders was founded by guides who grew up among the temples, the sea, and the historic quarters of Agrigento.
Over the years, we have expanded our itineraries to include archaeology, literature, WWII history, coastal walks,
genealogical research, and thematic cultural experiences. Today, our team blends long-standing expertise with
new voices — a balance that keeps our work both rooted and dynamic.

We collaborate with universities, cultural institutions, and international travel publishers. Our work has been
featured in major guidebooks and travel media, and we continue to refine our tours with the same curiosity and
dedication that inspired us on day one.

Our Approach

We believe that guiding is both a craft and a responsibility. Every tour is shaped by:

  • • Accurate historical and archaeological interpretation
  • • Local storytelling rooted in lived experience
  • • Respect for cultural heritage and sustainable tourism
  • • A balance between senior expertise and new academic voices

Whether you join us for archaeology, literature, coastal landscapes, or family heritage research, our goal is to
offer a meaningful encounter with Sicily — its history, its people, and its soul.

Where archaeology meets stories, and Sicily reveals its soul.
